Citimortgage ripoff unfair and fraudulent business practices poor customer service Ballwin Missouri
Citimortgage paid someone else's property taxes out of my escrow account and failed to pay my taxes altogether. Amount taken out of my account has left my escrow balance in the hole by close to $4,000.
Even though they were notified of the error well over 2 months ago they have failed to correct the problem. Instead they increased my house payment by $900. to cover the escrow deficeit and tagged my with a late payment after I paid the old mortgage amount. This was even after I called in for approval to pay the old amount until a correction can be made.
I was told the final resolution of my problem would be 4/16/03. It's now 4/30 and it's still not corrected.
I am trying to refinance and have locked into a very good rate but cannot close because I can't get a correct payoff amount.
The customer service department is absolutely no help and the supervisors who are also no help refuse to call back.
I have never had these problems with any other mortgage company. Don't ever use Citimortgage!
