I have an auto loan from Citizens Bank. I called in Aug of 2015 to see if I had disablity coverage on the loan. I was told I did not have it, then told the rep I was going out for surgury.  I would be out of work for about 3 months. I was told I was all set at the time. I did end up falling behind by one month, I thought. It was more like 6 weeks. I had issues with the disaiblity insurance company. 2 months into it quit paying my huge 375 a week check. They said it should be Comp I was back to work before that was settled. I burned through my savings pretty fast. I get back to work in November I thought it was all going good. County taxes was due in Feb and I was 3 weeks behind in my mortage. Between Nov and Feb that was all caught up.

Here is the issue, I woke up the first week in Feb to my door bell. It was a repo tow truck, I said What! why are you here?  Nice guys just doing their job, Citizens sent them. I called Citizens and I was connected with the repo dept. The guy I spoke to said I was 2 months behind and was behind since October by one month, I thought. That is what triggered the repo. He said We sent you letters, the only letter I had was to comfrim my phone number. I bought heating fuel instead of making the car payment thinking I was just a month behind. It was my fault that I wasn't aware of how far I was behind. That I triggered the 2 month repo clause.

Here is the issue, I called the repo dept after the truck was taken. I was told that the truck was going to be kept in the place in town until Feb 22. I called them after that to let them know I was waiting for a check. They moved my truck 73 miles from my town and I had to pay 465 bucks for that BS. Just 3 days after I called and there was a lot of time left for me to send in the late payment. I have an appointment at the dealership for a State Safety inspection. I have bought several cars or trucks over the years. The finance guy is going to get an ear full of my treatment  by Citizens Bank

I'll make this real simple, I was behind because I was out on disability. I called the bank in Aug when I was going out. I burned through my savings trying to make it on 175 bucks a week. You try it sometime see how it works for you.

My complaint is this and only this, I was lied to by an employee at Citizens that my truck was not going to moved from where its was at, local to me. It was moved 3 days later after I called to let the repo dept. I'm waiting for a check from my brokerage account.

I cashed in enough stock to cover the repossession. Not to pay for a 73 mile tow and some storage fees. That cost me another 465 bucks. When the truck was moved there was still over 14 days left for me to redeem my truck. You can say what you want about me sir. Citizens Bank has an ethics problem, if its ok to lie or mislead a customer. Then turn around and attack like your rebuttal was

By your own admission YOU were late with your payments. Not only that, due to poor management of your finances, you admitted you had no clue as to how far behind you were! NO RIPOFF HERE -- Complainer failed to make payments thus causing a repo. Complainer also failed to manage their account having no knowledge of how many times they were late.
