The City of San Diego Department of Treasury is reporting misleading information to credit reporting agencies, such as Experian. Because of a parking ticket they claimed that was paid "late," they are reporting to Experian that I was 90 days late and now have a "paid chargeoff," although the ticket was paid (many times over with penalties added). The City of San Diego is implying that I actually had a credit agreement with them that I violated, when no such agreement ever existed. The City of San Diego is guilty of deliberate deception, otherwise known as fraud, resulting in defamation of my character and increased interest charges I must pay on future loans as a result of my credit score being lowered by their thoughtless actions.

Apparently the City of San Diego has a contract with Experian and other reporting agencies to deliberately deceive prospective lenders. I believe this is their "big stick" used to encourage people to pay their parking tickets. Once the ticket is paid they must get satisfaction in continuing to cause further credit grief for the next 7 years that the item will appear on a credit report.

Anyone with similar issues with the City of San Diego, please seriously consider small claims court to recover your damages.
