Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I bought my home in the spring of 2010 and it was finally delivered in June of that year. the dealership was my best friend and very interested in seeing that I was happy with my purchase until my deposite cleared that bank. Then from that day on I had trouble getting them to take my call's.

My new home was delivered & set it up the last week of that month and I moved in on July4. From the very first I noticed problem's and made a list which I attempted to turn in to Rona Homes of Pataskala, Ohio which is the dealership that I bought the home from.

There were many thing's that needed taken care of all of which I was told would be fixed immedietly when I was signing papers and handing over my deposite. Thing's such as: the front door show's light through at night when the porch light is on, when it rain's water come's in around the window's, no caulking around the tub's, toilet seat's broke the first week, nail's sticking out at the edge of the carpet, fridge not level, house not level, front storm door get's stuck (and never has worked right), cabinet door's not square and many more.

When the man from Rona Homes came to take care of my list of issues with the home he was very surley and un-cooperative. He complained that my concern's were un founded and I was told it was my responsibility to "level the fridge & caulk the tub's" he also said that the rest of my issues were thing's he would come back and fix. He never returned and my follow-up call's to them were un-returned.

Since then I have had to have my roof repaired due to shingles coming off. The insurer said it was a manufacture defect but did honor the insurece, (sort of....gave me money but not enought to fix the roof or the interior damage). My son-in-law got locked out of the house by the storm door not opening about a month after we moved in. He had to break the latch in order to get into the house. Which resulted in my having to pay for the rpair. The window's that were put in this house are so heavy I have to get help to open them or close them. If they were to fall onto a person's hand I am sure it would result in a broken finger or hand so I am going to have to replace them just so I can operate them safely myself. the tub in my master bath is already cracked. My kitchen cabinet door's are falling apart. Moulding is coming off from arount the door's. The carpet's are getting thread bare and coming up. (apparently Clayton homes doesn't feel padding is necessary?)

I am now looking into just having my roof repalced and am looking into replacing my window's and will soon need to replace my flooring due to the carpeting being so shoddy. The ceiling and wall's in my home will need to be repaired/replaced due to water damage from the leak's. This place is not even 5 yr's old and all this work is needing to be done???

I am a disable veteran that has only my pension to support myself with. This home is supposed to be my final home where I intend to live out my day's on this earth. Now I am looking at the fact that i am going to have to just about do a rehab project on this house! I felt when I bought this place that I would do some updates as fund's allowed but now instead I am working hard just to keep it safe to live in.

I am interested if there are those that would like person's to join in on a class action law suit. this company and it's representitives defrauded me and only seem interested in getting my money. I would like them to at least give me the mean's to fix what is wrong with this house so I can continue living in it.
