I also have an AHS warranty. I've called twice on the heat in my house. I've had good service both times. I'm at an advantage because my father is a top notch fully licensed (for commercial & residential) in all HVAC fields. I did the intitial diagnosis with him over the phone and called in the claims. The service company that was called out, Kayrouz, was very good. In both instances they were in and out in 30 minutes. One of the problems was a pressure switch and the other was a blown ignitor (not related instances). In both cases, I paid them the $50 deductable mandated from AHS and they were on there way. I was never billed by either Kayrouz or AHS for parts or additional fees. There is an epidemic of poor repairmen out there. I've seen so many "Dateline" and "20/20" shows to fill up a whole day. It's very difficult to find people you can trust. I am lucky that my father is an expert on the subject and I can portray an amazing amount of knowledge to any perspective repair people. In both instances, my father was correct on his telephone diagnosis and the repair people went right to the problem. I realize that others are not so lucky. I suggest that you contact AHS and complain about the repair service and ask that they be removed from the AHS list of service companies. I would also file a complaint with the Better Business Bureay in your area. Finally, I suggest that you post this report under the forum to rat out poor repair companies. Climatech has many other customers besides AHS warranty holders.
