Wyndham Resorts called our room and wanted to come and see if our accomodations were as advertised.  Someone arrived when we were headed to beach.  He (Danny Woodard) said we needed to add our children to our timeshare and that they had a person who dealt with estates.  We stopped down thinking this would take a few minutes.

When we got there, Danny introduced us to Doug Simmons who we thought was the "estate person."  They said that the agreement we had was being phased out and instead of vacation points used everyother year, they only sold points for a yearly contract.  They said that they hadn't been in touch with us and we had to make our payments over the phone for maintenance because "they had been neglectful" and needed to make it up to us.

This was taking longer than we had thought and we were getting emotionally tired with all the paperwork and talking.  I told them that I had school loans and couldn't pay anymore money.  They brought out a form that showed the money details.  After I said again that I couldn't afford more payments they brought out more paperwork showing that the payment would be 200 dolllars/month which was approximately 40 dollars more a month.  After being pressured we signed.  We were in their office about 4 hours and were made to believe that we would receive a vacation "every" year as opposed to every other year for an increase of approximately 40 dollars additionally.

We signed paperwork and initialed in the correct places trying to get out of there and enjoy the time we set apart for vacation.

These people that worked with us used pressure and intimidation to sign the paperwork by making us feel stupid for not understanding the financial information.  When we got home, we received paperwork that increased our debt from 6,000 dollars to 24,000 dollars.  They never told us that the amount would be more than 200 dollars.  They sent paperwork for "Bill Me Later" for the additional 14,000 dollars.  I told them I couldn't afford to take on debt because of school loans.

I am very angry that I was tricked in this way.  Please if you read this report, don't deal with Wyndham as they are dishonest and will do anything to get a sale.  I can't understand a company that would take one of their consumers and treat them in this way.  I am going to do what I need to do to get out of this contract and see that they have to deal with their high pressure tactics.

We never saw the paperwork from the "Estate" person to sign our children on our timeshare as this was never their goal.  Don't waste your time when they call your room in the first morning of your vacation, as this is the way they try to get to you.

We received a letter from Wyndham that they cancelled our contract after Attorney General looked into what they were doing.  They fraudulently had a nother contract with us.  The reason they cancelled they said was because of non-payment.  However, now we are stuck with Bill Me Later which they fraudently used as a down payment when we said we didn't want financing.

So, now we are looking for relief from Bill Me Later if anyone has any ideas.  Extremely glad to be out of Wyndham but they took the money from Bill me Later and want us to pay that debt back that was done fradulently.

Sincerely,
