The phrase "high pressure sales pitch" is an under statement for these people. I made the mistake of first setting foot on their lot on 12/21/02. I was there only to look @ new cars. I told more than one employee I encountered in the Sales & in the Finance Dpts that I was not prepared, nor did I think I could afford, to buy a new car that day. Before I knew it, I was signing on the dotted line.

Very soon thereafter, I recieved a call from them "summoning" me back to "Re-Negotiate" my contract. I couldn't believe (nor could the lawyers I've discussed this with)that they actually had me sign a second contract! I even asked @ one point if I could have my old car back & get out of there. (This plea was not even acknowledged, let alone answered.)

They said they would pay-off my trade in. They sure took their sweet time doing this. As a matter of fact, they willfully took so long doing this, that I was reported to the credit agencies for late payments on the old car!!!

When I took delivery of the new car, it had a scratch that ran the length of the front bumper. They said they would be responsible for repairing this. Soon I was to discover the employees in their Service Dpt were no more friendly or supportive than the others I had the misfortune to encounter.

When I took delivery of the new car, I was offered an insurance policy that would cover the amount that my insurance Co wouldn't cover should the car be involved in an accident & rendered a total loss. I clearly stated I was not interested in this. I was surprised to find out I had no choice in whether or not to accept this added expense!

Kenny I hope the info I am providing you and others will help. First car buyers need to view the following web sites so car buyers can understand that car salesmen and women are trained to SELL SELL SELL to everybody that comes JUST LOOKING. Go to the following web sites and after you check them ALL OUT come back to your Rip Off Report and post an update as to what you FEEL these web sites do for car dealers. Here is the list, Go to them ALL, OK? www.probac.com www.nationalautotraining.com www.appliedconcepts.net www.grantcardone.com www.davidlewis.com www.jeffsacksandassociates.com www.stukertraining.com www.paulcummings.com www.nationalautotraining.com www.tewart.com www.joeverde.com www.biggross.com Next If I were you a would send a copy of your Rip Off Report to the following list of email addresses of people who work for the auto industry publication called Automotive News. Make sure that they all know about your Rip Off Report. Doing this will give people that work in the auto industry something HARD to CHEW ON. Keith Crain Editorial Director [email protected] Peter Brown Associate Publisher [email protected] Edward Lapham Editor [email protected] Dave Versical Managing Editor [email protected] Mary Beth Vander Schaaf Asst. Managing Editor [email protected] Anne Wright Asst. Managing Editor/Data Services [email protected] Kathy Jackson Automotive Marketing Editor [email protected] David Sedgwick Projects Editor [email protected] To all listed above, be glad I did not post your phone numbers! I also feel that when this dealer called you to come back to the dealer to "Renegotiate" what I really FEEL they were really telling you is "Hey we hire dumb asses in our F&I department and they screwed up and we need you to sign a new contract, they are "GREEN PEAS" and they do not understand what banks want to process a auto loan. Or I feel that when they used the term Renegotiate what they really meant was, "Hey our F&I department screwed up and did not make enough backend profit" We want to make more backend gross off of you and we want you to agree to a higher interest rate, so our F&I people will get a bigger pay check. We hope that you will agree to bend over. Car dealers call this situation a "SPOT DELIVERY"or a "YANK" dealers do this because they know that no banking commissioner will anything about it. As far as this dealer telling you that you "HAVE TO BUY" the Insurance Police or the bank would not to the deal. That is a FAT LIE. The F&I guy told you this because he wanted a fatter commission check. Ask any dealer's F&I CLOWNS when signing any documents to show you some documentation that states you MUST buy an insurance policy or a bank will not do the deal. Mail a printed copy of your Rip Off Report to Hyundai Motor America 10550 Talbert Avenue P.O. Box 20850 Fountain Valley, CA 92728 0850 Fax a copy of your Rip Off Report to Hyundai at 1-714-965-3861 Kenny I hope that I have helped you in some way. It is high time that car buyers be told the truth as to what car dealers are doing and how to STOP the deception. I call myself "The Great Thorn" because I hope that I am becoming one. Make sure Kenny that your SUCKY Hyundai dealer gets a copy of your Ripp Off Report NOW!!!! The auto industy deception MUST BE EXPOSED!
