Columbia House Fraudulent Charges on Credit Card Terre Haute Indiana
This is a total scam, I gave them my credit card over 3 years ago for one payment, then they come back and say I have my account setup for automatic credit card billing. And if I had read the fine print of the membership agreement, I need to contact them to change it from auto billing to manual billing statements. Will be taking that up with State Atty General.
I contacted my bank the day the charges came through and filed a fraudulent activity report on it, contacted Columbia House (total joke) ended up talking with 'Pifo' in Panama City, Panama, who refused to give me a manager or supervisor, then comes back after 5 minutes on hold, supposedly a supervisor (yeah right) I think it was actually the same person, who told me 'too bad, the charges have already gone through, you can't do anything about it' then proceeds to hang up on me... What total BS...
So by the graces, I find a customer service number listed on this website, call them and get a helpful but direct individual on the phone, who has pleged to help me resolve this problem, and actually call me back, we'll see...
BUYER BEWARE! I would not recommend this club to anyone for any reason...
