On July 2003 I purchaes a Columbia Telecommunicatons two radio from Fry's with a $25 write in rebate. Mailed completed rebate the next day. After more than 14 weeks (required and no rebate, several calls but always busy.
Later complained to Fry's which said they contacted them and rebate would be sent. No Rebate. I then I write both and send copies of write in rebate. No Rebate. Back to Dallas TX Fry's and they call and rebate to be sent in two weeks. No rebate. Next I complain to the Attorney General of Texas by letter February 2004. They said they would persue this and also gave me this web site. Both Columbia and Fry's are rip-offs.

Columbia is using the US mails for fraud and that is of interest to the USPS Postal Inspector. Complain to him. Also Complain to your State Attorney General and Better Business Bureau. It would not hurt to complain to you legislative representative and propose that the selling retail store is liabe for all write in rebates as well as the manufacturer. After a while, it is not the money, its the principle of the thing and not wanting these crooks to get by with it. Ed
