Commercial Healthcare Network ripoff, fraudulent misrepesentation, dishonest Clearwater Florida
In April 2004 Commercial Healthcare Network contacted my husband and I, offering a Visa credit card with a $2,000 limit for a one time fee of $299. Free healthcare coverage was provided with this package. We were told that we would receive our healthcare info and credit card within 20 days after our account was debited. Money was taken out on May 3rd.
We received our package June 9th only to find that the $299 we paid for a credit card, was actually an annual membership fee for Commercial Healthcare. The only mention of a credit card was an application for a debit Mastercard (which requires a $94 processing fee). When I called the company to complain, they told me that I knew I was purchasing health insurance and that getting a matercard application was one of the "perks". They denied ever offering a credit card.
The one page information sheet I received states that if I cancel within 15 days I can get a refund, but when I called the customer service rep said "no refunds".
