Someone else mentioned that this is not an ancestry test, and it's true, ConnectMyDNA states it on their website many times. The test is designed to "connect" you with the rest of the world by the use of population genetics, which show you how genes have mutated and evolved like other people around the world. Mine came out with a few matches which were actually part of my ancestry, but also some random countries in Africa, it was really quite interesting, but then again I knew not to expect my family's complete family tree. Those tests are usually expensive and require much more than a quick swab of the mouth.

It says all over their literature that it's NOT an ancestry/geneology test. The test uses the genetic composition of today's world to provide the data that they base your country on. I put my test in the mail a week or 2 ago and can't wait to see the results!I found a lot of useful info on http://dna-connections.com/ about how DNA and Ancestry tests are different.
Hope this helps!
