I recieved a call one day at work from someone stating that they were from Consolidated Media Services and that I had won a free magazine subscription. In addition, I could also receive three (or four) additional magazines for a discounted price. Also, I was entitled to receive (as a bonus) a free ladies watch (where is it???!!).

They told me it would take 8 to 10 weeks to process my order. When I asked him how he had gotten my name, he gave me some story (which I now believe was total bullshit!) about how my credit card had released my name to them. That should have been my first warning bell.

Anyway, having been called at work, and wanting to hurry this conversation along, I gave him my card number (big mistake!!). I then received the follow up call verifying the information I was given and the so-called "atta-boy" for the man I spoke to previously.

Shortly after, I received my first payment of over $60.00 on my charge card. I called the customer service department and questioned them about it. I stated that I had not even received any of my magazines yet and they were billing my charge card. After a "story" about procedures,etc. from them, I hung up.

A few days later, however, I called back and spoke to another person and asked that payments be stopped on my credit card and

for them to send me an invoice every month instead. I also asked that they extend my time to pay from 2 years to 4. He agreed readily and I even received a letter confirming the change.

Since then I have received some of my magazines, but at random times. My monthly magazines do not come monthly, and the one magazine that I subscribed to that I'm supposed to get weekly, I have not even seen yet!!!

Worst of all, I received two phone calls stating I was delinquent on my account when I hadn't even received an invoice from them!! B***ards!! I am still waiting for an invoice as of today.

If they think the're going to bill me for the whole amount, then they have another thing coming to them. I have done my part to be fair, but no more!! Enough is enough!! I have thought of cancelling, but from the other reports I have read, it seems impossible.

Please help shut this company down once and for all. How can these people sleep at night when they are ruining so many lives!!
