I am also a victim of consolidated resorts - we got scammed into going to a presentation while we were in Las Vegas. We were told that this would be something great to get into while we were young.

We were very hesitant to go into this bc of the cost, we had currently booked a cruise in Europe through our travel agent before coming to Las Vegas. And the sales people had told us that they have locations all over Europe and cruises all around the world. I had also exclusively asked about Barecelona, Spain since we had airline tickets booked also and they said they had locations there as well. We waited forever to get our paper work filled out and they promised us 6 free trips and told us since we were newlyweds we would get them and they don't give out that many. Its usually just one. Later to find out that EVERYONE gets them.

First off it took them over 6 weeks to send us our Interval information, and I had to call the customer service number in order to have them send it, they didn't even realize that we didn't get it yet. After receiving our information, we went through the entire book to see that there were NO locations in Barcelona, Spain and there was NO cruises in Europe or all over the world just in the caribbean which we could not trade our week in for.

We are screwed at this moment bc we have airline tickets to Barcelona and no where to stay. We called the customer service # and filed a complaint and received a call stating that "they can work something out for us but no promises" - which meant that they were going to work with other companies to get us a place. Which is NOT what we wanted.

We asked to cancel since we did not even use the timeshare yet and they said that the legal department would review it. We are still waiting for the letter that they said they sent via fedex. And I called back the legal department and they said that it was a legal and binding contract. They don't understand that this was a legal and binding contract based on LIES. I'm at a loss for what to do now.

Any one else out there who is going through the same thing?

Hello, First I am very glad that you got Consolidated to work with you and you were able to resolve your problem. I have the same problem, I signed a contract based on lies, the deed is a fraud and Consolidated has been renting out our timeshares, which is a direct violation of the contract. I have hired a lawyer and sent letter after letter but Consolidate has no interest in trying to settle this. That being said, can you give us some information on how you resolved the issue? Who did you talk to? What did you have to do? The more information that you can share, would be great. Thanks Fred
