I paid a lot of money to this company for a warranty on a car purchased at CARFAX 4/24/2008.  My transmission went out last month and I took the car to a certified mechanic as they requested.  Not only did it take them a week to send an adjuster out, but when he did finally arrive very late in the evening, he just briefly looked at it with the mechanic and asked what pieces we wanted replaced.

Next thing I know they denied my claim.  When I tried to call and ask questions, they told me everything needs to be done online.  I immediately disputed the claim because I had read my policy and since my bearing had broke and caused other problems, the mechanic said it would be covered as mechanical faiure.  This mechanic said that he has worked with many warranty companies over 20 years and this would be covered.

Again, they denied my claim stating that "As stated in my warranty agreement covered components that are worn, not broken, are not covered".  and went on to say that there were "lack of metal pieces".  This is totally false information.  I originally thought they must have confused my claim with somebody else, since the mechanic informed me that not only was my bearing broke, but there were metal pieces throughout the entire unit.  They continue to deny my claim as normal wear and tear not resulting from sudden mechanical failure.  That is a bunch of crap!  The mechanic said if they don't cover this, then what could they possibly cover?  This is a cut and dry case, Bearing broke, ruined drums among other components.  They have no reason not to pay, but still they deny claim.
