Continental Express - Fast Lane Movers SCAM, DISHONEST & HIDDEN FEES Fremont, California
They will give you a lower quote initially than most other movers. For example, they quoted me 2 movers at $85/hr. However, when they arrive at my house with 3 movers and insist that I will need 3 movers at $115/hr because the fridge is heavy.
They will not tell you about other charges upfront. For example, CONTAINER FEE. Even though they initially will tell you that blankets and such to wrap and protect your equipment is included, free-of charge. They charged me $31.19 for container fee for 10 cardboard boxes (you can buy them at a hardware store yourself for $2 per box) for total of $311.90. 9% fuel surcharge is another thing they will make you sign.
The lead guy hardly even speak English and was rather rude and abrupt. They are not even local movers and fine prints say that we have to take them to court in Texas. I recommend going with a more reputable local mover which you might have to pay a little extra per hour but at least you know they will not stick you with hidden charges.
I was quoted $255. Ended up costing $683.
