I work for Convergys in Tamarac FL and I've been there for a year already. This company is by far the worst company I've ever worked for! I am a very loyal worker and very hard working. when I first started working at Convergys it was great. The trainer was awesome and very knowledgeable, we had company managers coming into our class once a week telling us how important we are to the company and how were gonna love it here. Once I hot the production floor I realized that they don't care about you at all! They recycle people at this company. They hired me originally for sales .. About six months later they pulled me and 17 other people in the sales department and took us to the meeting room to tell us that we are being moved to another project called the CLM project (customer lifecycle management) they stated that if we want to keep our jobs we would need to go to make this transaction because call volume in sales wasn't high at all. Since the project was new we only had 7 days of training before hitting the floor we had to learn customer service skills as well as two new systems in a matter of 7 days. It was hard but the entired team proved to be willing to learn and succeed. After we hit the floor 2 days later we found out that Convergys has hired a new class for sales ... So much for call volume being low. Before we knew it there was a whole department for CLM and not enough computers or chairs to hold everyone. So once again they started recycling their employees to make room for the new. I've managed to keep my position However now out call volume in CLM is too low so they decided to take half of the department and put them in SSG (secondary sales group) which is another department who does completely different things and they had to then redo an entire training. The people that have stayed in CLM including myself have just been told that due to volume being low all of the English speaking representatives will be taking sales calls and no longer be taking CLM calls meanwhile Spanish speaking reps will be taking CLM calls untill volume pick up in January (mind you this is not something that is guaranteed) however we will keep out same commission structure meaning we will still be classified as CLM and keep the same commission structure so we can't make commission off the calls we're taking for the sales department. So now Convergys is messing with an entires departments money. Ontop of that the people they decide to put in management positions is ridiculous! they have floor support that have literally just hit the floor and have no idea what their doing. They have TLs (tem leaders) that also should no qualify. The only reason these people are getting these jobs is due to favoritism and sucking up to our OM (operation manager) who only put men in higher positions. This OM has also stated on many occasions that she does not care who she has to fire, if our stats aren't up we're out. In my opinion if you have the position if an OM you should learn how to speak to your employees with more respect ans like you actually care about the people who work for you. I have been to our HR department and a higher manager to complain but they could care less about what us agents have to say. It's pretty sad how poorly this company is ran. Like I said earlier ive been there for a year and I started off in a class of 20 people ... I am the only one left. People quit left and right due to management and if their not quitting hey are getting fired. I've never worked for such an unorganized company.
