Well after 7 Months of this giant elephant pile of poo I can finally say ... Told ya so. I won my freedom back today when the state backed out ... Officially Nolle Prosecu ... I had been baffled by the fact that the officer who caused this trouble for me Mr. Woo wasn't going on the stand and testifying as to what happened so I urged my new lawyer to subpena him. She strongly advised against doing such but I was very determined to have him there. She warned that he could / probably would lie on the stand. I knew this and was preparing to go to war on him in court with a crafty line of questions. She suggested I just question the other officer as to what he heard and use my witness testimony to get the facts out. I paused for a few seconds and asked her "wouldn't the state just argue that all said is just hearsay?" ... I planned to hold the officers answers against them later so her plan wasn't gonna work for me. Soon as we serve Mr. Woo a subpena magically the state drops the case HMMMM.
I've asked the state on many occasions to do just that but they wanted to waste the tax payers money and drag this case on. In the long run I lose. My record is stained and I would have to pay to get it cleaned up. I lost my job due to stress and haven't been able to find another. I'm banned from downtown Silver Spring for another 5 more months. My brain hurts from so much legal research. I won't be able to get two bad apples working for the police station under the spotlight ... they'll just continue on like nothing happened. No justice for me.
All thanks to the Managers at Copper Canyon Silver Spring. Too stupid to understand the statement "This card is not redeemable for alcoholic beverages where prohibited by law." Keywords being (where prohibited by law)
I'm sick and tired and have school starting next week. I can not pursue this anymore. There is a lawsuit in here I know for a fact that there is but simply put I can not afford it. I got screwed by everybody here all because Copper Canyon of Silver Spring sent me an invitation to come check them out.
SMH
I'm done
Peace

I have yet to find a law inside my state and or county residence where said business is located that prohibits the use of gift card for alcohol. If they did not want alcohol to be purchased, they should have just stopped with that rather than include "where prohibited by law". It is misleading at the least.

Does this county have video of their trials? Would love to see the one you were in and the one you are about to be in.
I've gotten in trouble before when I've had a bit too much to drink, and have even gotten kicked out of a couple places (though in both cases it was for my own good, and they were super cool about it). But I've never been banned from an entire area!
BTW, are you on SSI by any chance?

they didn't throw away the key.
1. Copper Canyon grill lied and conspired against you.
2. The +6 Montgomery county police officers also mis-treated you and arrested you without cause.
3. Your tax payer supported attorney denied you your rights and forced you to testify against yourself.
4. You had proper representation, your attorney had a fool for a client.
Keep up your arrogant, stubborn attitude and you may yet get the key thrown away.
Let us know how it all works out.

" On the back of the card it clearly states "This card is not redeemable for alcoholic beverages where prohibited by law." along with "This $10 gift card is valid with a purchase of $25 or more." "
Seems pretty clear. In many, if not most states, establishments are prohibited from giving away free alcoholic beverages to patrons. Hence the disclaimer.
Reading this offer I would expect to have to purchase at least $25, exclusive of alcoholic beverages, in order to use the $10 gift card. According to your post, you only purchase $9 worth of food. What are we missing?
