Complaint Review: Cops & doughnuts- jays precinct- gaylord - Gaylord Michigan

 On Friday May 6th 2016, I was asked to come into work for a meeting. It was my day off but i agreed to it. I had no idea it would be anything like it was. I was taken into a confrence room by my manager and the companies new C. O. O. I was the assistant manager to this business. I was sat down and completely blind sided by attacks with lies and allegations by my manager. So badly that i felt i needed a lawer in the room with me. The C. O. O. also lit into me, the first thing he says to me is "tell me about your sex life"... I said excuse me? He said " well you have no problem talking to your co-workers about it so i want to know all the details. And if you lie to me, ill fire you faster then you can say oh no" i said that i didnt know what he was talking about because i didnt. He then said " two of the other girls that work there came to him and complained to him saying that i was talking explicitly about sex" i became extremely uncomfortable and started shaking. I was very upset. I told him that the girls there are young and they joke around about stuff with their boyfriends. If anything has been said, it has been a joke. He then said "i am going to do an investigation on you. Its going to take up a lot of my time and im irritated about it" i said ok go ahead. The entire thing was jumbled and random things were thrown at me. My manager told me that she felt she couldnt trust me because i went to the grocery store to get items that were left on list for me to get and i left 2 girls there alone for about an hour. She told me i was immature and unprofessional and that she "has to wear the kid gloves" when shes around me... I am almost 26 years old. I was extremely offended and felt very belittled. She then said i called in all the time which is not true. I had to call in this past tuesday because my mom had to go to the hospital unexpectedly. I have a 4 year old son. I am a single mom with no help except my family. My mother is my child care. So i had to call in that day and my manager was angry because that meant she had to stay. So i called tom (the C. O. O) and expressed how upset i was that my manager just treated me that way on the phone for calling in with a family emergency. He said he wanted to have a meeting on may 6th at 10:30am to smooth things over with kay and i. So at this meeting when tuesday came up, The C. O. O snapped at me and said "as an assistsnt manager, its your responsibility to figure it out and get to work." I said i was given about an hour notice. I have no one else here. The rest of my family lives 30 minutes away. I had no choice. Family comes FIRST. He said he has 4 children and was gone for 16 hours at work yesterday and they survived. I said welk that is really sad for him. After more interrigating and being ripped to complete shreds, they told me to leave the room and go get a drink and that he needed a moment alone with my manager. At this point it was 11:30. I went into the bathroom and wiped my tears. I went into the restaurant, got a drink of water and sat down at a table. 2 of my co-workers came up to me and asked if i was ok and i lost it and started crying. About that time tom walked back in and told me to come back in the confrence room. He said i had 2 choices. 1. I could sign a letter of termination that him and my manager hand wrote and leave quietly or i could quit and i could use my manager kay as a reference but that if people called and asked about me, she could say whatever she wants. I grabbed the paper and signed it and threw it in their face and said i wouldnt use them for a reference if my life depended on it. I looked my manager right in the eye and said you have fun running this place into the ground because thats what you are doing. She is in her mid 60's and has NO business running a business! And the joke of a C. O. O that supposedly ran 109 Arby's restaurants alone and has 20 something years of experience, wouldnt know professionalism if it hit him smack in the face. Me and my family have contacted the better business bureau, the cival rights commision, and the equal opportunity employment commision. This business is trying to get their name out. And i wont rest until that name is destroyed 6 ft under. They couldnt deserve it more.
