Must be a different Core Carrier. I am a current Employee and haven't had a problem them at all.
I have been broke down once for a major Item & the company put me in a motel for 3 days(they paided for it), paid me breakdown pay also.
sounds to me like you might have came from one of those Bigger companies that pulls strings to get their equip fixed ASAP and pays low CPM because of that.
Core Carrier, ins't a perfect company, but it small & the PPL for the most part are Friendly!!
I enjoy the fact that When I call in to my dispatcher, I don't have to mention my name or a truck number.
The Equipment isn't that old. Looks older than it is, but hey the Owner is out to make $$$ & if the looks of the truck don't bother him and the D.O.T isn't pulling you in or over because of the looks, whats the problem.
Drivers lounge. Yeah well the room with the vending Machines is the Break Room. there is a Drivers Lounge across from the Recruiters office. Maybe you just didn't ask. I'll give you that much. but if you didn't ask, then don't make unfounded comments.
Dirty Trailer. Hmmm Trailers shouldn't be left dirty, but it happens and happens to much, But If you get a dirty call it in, your still gonna have to Sweep it out or whatever to get your load. Just one of the down sides of trucking.
So just because there was some problem between you and the Company(maybe, just guessing here) you vent your steam on a place like this.
Well good luck with your future endeavors in the trucking business.

I will address the issues here.
1. There is a 90 DAY reimbursement note, so if the driver was so unhappy, WHY would he stay for 6 months ? Well it would be like this. To collect the total of $2100.00 Sign on Bonus and Orientation Pay. That is paid in full in 24 weeks.
2. There is a layover / breakdown pay (in the company handbook) after 12 hrs and until the tractor is fixed or he is on the road with another vehicle. UNLESS: He / she is sitting at home and not wanting to move.
3. The equipment was the same when you came to orientation, so why even work here ? Our turn over is very low and all that is ask of anyone that works here is to work and to communicate.
4. The Drivers lounge is 4 lounge / recliner chairs that were over 550.00 each, that are sanitized every evening (as the showers) with a 42 inch screen TV, with satellite with over 70 channels, microwave, water dispenser, refrigerator. There is another break room for drivers that want the vending machines at their touch.
5. Dirty trailers if reported by the driver that picked one up is charged by to the driver at fault. The call has to be made to the office for this to be known.
