Your story is just like mine. About a moped guy.. selling them.Check this out.
There is this guy he works for a company called moped medic, claims he's a doctor but can't provide any legal documents
to prove he has that ability.. .. he works for this company. A restraining order was put on him because he was sending sexual and
stating to perform sexual assault on a former customer... He has several complaints against him on Ripoff report or this company he works for.. ..
This all happened after there was a dispute over a repair of a moped. How stupid can this get.....But of course every criminal has a story.. or blames someone else..

I'm pretty sure what you did was purchase one of those cheap no-name Chinese scooters that are sold by importers. There is a reason that these things are not sold by actual moped/scooter dealers. They are poorly made junk that was likely assembled in some Chinese family's backyard. No reputable dealer would stand behind one. The scooter repair guy probably can fix it, but don't expect it to stay fixed for long. I have had friends and neighbors bringing these things to my garage for help fixing them and it's a losing battle. As soon as one thing get's fixed something else breaks. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for. Compared what you paid to what a similar moped/scooter would cost from a reputable company like Honda or Piaggio. These days, when people ask me about buying one of these Chinese rolling disasters, I recommend that they instead spend the same money on a used name brand bike.
