My son who is challenged wanted nothing more than to drive like his older brothers and could never pass his written test farless a driving test. I thought the next best thing to make him feel "normal" was to buy him a scooter/moped. I went to Google and put in mopeds and the 1st web address I received was County Imports. I called to order it instead of doing it on line because of security reasons. The bike was promised to arrive oneday betweenn 10-3. Needless to say my son looked out the window from 9:45 to 3:15. No moped.

I called & was advised the tech forgot to put it in the system, therefore it was never placed on the truck. Once it was received, it ran for 2 mins, then never started again. I called the County Imports only to be passed around & told, sorry, since you purchased this from a factory, and got factory pricing, you need to take it to have a 26 point check up and that will be around $150.00. I was never told that over the phone by my salesperson, Ron Nelson. She also said,I can give you the names of service Ctrs in your area. I called and the first #only to be told," where did you get my #? I never hooked up with those people."I called back, it took 45 mins to get someone with a little authority,"Justin", I told Justin I want a full refund that i have been scammed. He said no refunds! i then asked Justin for the owners name & #, he advised he could give it to me, but he would speak to them 4 me and since it was a holiday weekend coming up, he couldnt get back to me till Tuesday afternnon, but he would go to bat for me.That he was the highest I could go. He also stated, his wife works with disabled children so he can simpathize.

Meanwhile my son can only stare at this moped and sob. I called all around my area it was this past Saturday and found Scooter Tronics in Eldersburg, Md that said bring it by Tuesday morning, there wasnt any scooter he couldnt fix. It is now Tuesay afternoon and so far, no call back from Justin. I will stop payment on my credit card and dispute this issue if it comes to that! NEVER deal with this Co!!!

Your story is just like mine.  About a moped guy.. selling them.Check this out.

There is this guy he works for a company called moped medic, claims he's a doctor but can't provide any legal documents
to prove he has that ability.. .. he works for this company.  A restraining order was put on him because he was sending sexual and
stating to perform sexual assault on a former customer... He has several complaints against him on Ripoff report or this company he works for.. ..

This all happened after there was a dispute over a repair of a moped.  How stupid can this get.....But of course every criminal has a story.. or blames someone else..

I'm pretty sure what you did was purchase one of those cheap no-name Chinese scooters that are sold by importers. There is a reason that these things are not sold by actual moped/scooter dealers. They are poorly made junk that was likely assembled in some Chinese family's backyard. No reputable dealer would stand behind one. The scooter repair guy probably can fix it, but don't expect it to stay fixed for long. I have had friends and neighbors bringing these things to my garage for help fixing them and it's a losing battle. As soon as one thing get's fixed something else breaks. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for. Compared what you paid to what a similar moped/scooter would cost from a reputable company like Honda or Piaggio. These days, when people ask me about buying one of these Chinese rolling disasters, I recommend that they instead spend the same money on a used name brand bike.
