As an employee of CPI, I have always informed every potential customer that CPI requires two things:
A) proof of homeownership, because only the homeowner can authorize the installation which can require minimal drilling, even on wireless systems.
B) satisfactory credit score.
Every customer who came back with a credit score lower than our basic requirement was given the option to invest in more equipment for their home to off set the installation risk of thousands of dollars of equipment and labor cost with little or no up front money to cover our expenses. Any deposits collected toward the installation or equipment are Always refunded to the customer if the system is not installed. It takes longer than people like to wait for the refund process (1-2 weeks) but it is always refunded.
With customers below a 575 beacon score, our deposit is higher as referenced by the complaints listed. But Cpi always looks at each customer individually to see what we can do to accommodate them.

I so agree, this is exactly what they said and did to me. The rep had been hounding us for two years, even became a fair weather friend, up until this moment. He told us that our credit was not good enough so we would need to purchase more options, long story short the cost was upwards of $750.00. This is and remains to be such an untruth, about our credit. It is truly unfortunate to be so disappointed in someone we trusted, now the check we gave them was to be dropped off in our mail box hours ago, nothing yet has been delivered. I will not sit back and allow them to rip me off, and none of you folks should either.
