OK, first off, you start off at .85 a mile......sounds great UNTIL you do the math. after you take out all the fees, insurance, least payment, fuel, etc. youre roughly taking home about 29 cents a mile. Thats IF you get the required miles, & have no truck problems. Cmon now, there's companies out there that will start you off at at LEAST 29-30 cents a mile as a COMPANY driver. Why would I sign a least if im going to be making about as much as a company driver would make for another company? Its STUPID! if you start off as a company driver for england, you make .24 cents a mile. thats CRAP! if you check into any other company, you start off around .28-.29 cents a mile at LEAST. Don't waste your time with this company, its not worth it. Theres plenty of other transportation companies that are out there that actually respect their employees, England will just use you & spit you out. Dont do it.

I have been trying to find a lawyer to handle my case. I know that I have at least a wrongful terminanation case, but try getting a lawyer and then tell them that you want to go up againt C.R England, Inc. They'll tell you how you have such a good, strong case right up until you tell them who you are having trouble with. I have found out that it really is the planet Utah, they have their own law's; and the more money you got ( and they got alot ) the more you can have done.

I have just gone thru the whole c r england process and ten minutes after i graduated class i was told that my recruiter had screwed up on my paperwork and i was not hireable. A month away from home and i had quit a very respectable job working for environmental protection. with a wife and four kids at home this has caused some major financial difficulties indeed. Please be warned DO NOT go to this company the only one making money is them you WILL lose everything indeed...

I just wanted to say that I have more important thing's to do with my time then to play games with people like Jim. I'm happy for anyone that was able to have someone give them their job, or walk them threw all their test. But I have found that after working for what I have, I am ready to fight to keep it. I worked for all of my endorsments...all but motorcycle. And Yes I did have to get a new CDL when I moved from Utah to Georgia; I do still have two paper copies from Utah and my hard copy from Georgia. So I guess I do have CDL's. But I can't help but wonder ( with as silly as your rebuttal is ) if you even bothered to read past the second sentence in the second paragraph? PEACE!

I'm a little curious and sitting here wondering if I missed out on something. When I started in this business and was grandfathered into the CDL program, I got ONE CDL. Let me check my wallet...yep, there's ONE CDL in there. I wonder however, maybe they do things differently these days...do you get more than one CDL? Do you get one for each state? Do you get one for each wheel? Axle? Maybe since the gross weight cannot exceed 80,000 without permiting that means you get 80,000 CDL's, one for each pound? I'm curious.

I understand why CR England wants everyone to go with their lease program; As everyone is seeing with the OOIDA law suite anyone would like to have a contract with everything in your favor. And to have your employee's actually paying all of the expenses to haul your freight would have to be a dream come true. I was happy hauling as a company driver and really did like our DM alot. As far as a trucking company knowing the business they do know it inside and out, upside and down. But they forgot about working together; everyone being able to make a living, and desided they wanted to keep all of the money for themselves. But the lease program isn't only problem. They learned how to steal from their drivers, and they weed out driver's right out of the school. They have alot of trouble with sex discimination. They have a good number of women hired within the company as DM's, log's, nurse, store... you get the picture; but they don't really want women driving their trucks. I can go on and I am very good at keeping records of everything.

keep in mind that englands lease program is set up to benefit them first then the driver. l/o must run certain miles per week in order to pay there expenses. thats why they give the high miles to them and not company drivers. if a l/o keeps mooving with limeted home time he can make money. england only wants one kind of driver, and that is one who will move the product from point a to point b w/out complaning, or getting caught if he runs illeagl. he you turn the load down cuz u want 2 run leagal ur hurting ur buisness. and engaland with blacklist u! they will show u there hand but wont let u shake it. p.s remember trust everyone but brand ur cattle!
