Alex visited me 3-4 times throughout the decision process.  Alex was friendly and answered all my questions.  We had a designer come up with a build plan.  Alex provided a bid off of this design.  Once the bid was agreed to and we signed the agreement on June 7th, 2016 to install retaining walls, concrete patio, and an outdoor kitchen area. I was told that the project will to 6-8 weeks to complete by the owner Razvan Alexandrescu (Alex).  Five months to this date, the project is still not completed.  The initial work seemed to move fairly quickly and smooth.  Once he asked for payments, the project began slow way down.  He tried to be friendly with me throughout this process and make me feel comfortable with paying him before the work was completed.  I expressed my concern, as I am a contractor and should have known better, but I succumbed to his friendliness that he would get the work completed.  I continuously sent text messages asking for updates and competition of tasks.  I was lied to on every occasion with various excuses as to why it was taking so long.

At towards the middle of the project, I did make ONE addition to the contract to add an additional small wall to the project.  We agreed on a price and I also paid for this in full for the addition prior to the work being completed.  It took 2 months to complete a 3-day task.  The additional was completed.  This is where the breakdown with this contract begins to happen.  He does not come back to complete the job, clean up, or put the finishing touches on the job to make the customer satisfied.

There are cracks in the concrete, the grading is not finished, there are holes in the ground, mud and dirt everywhere, part of the wall damaged by one of his workers that is still not repaired. I have attempted several times to contact both Alex and his project manager Ricky to come complete the job. There is probably only a few days’ worth of work, but they do not appear to want to complete the job.  To my surprise, all work pretty much ended two months ago and there has been nothing to complete the job as my project is no longer a priority since he got paid (shame on me).  Also, Alex promised several tasks to help "close" the deal, that were not in the contract.  For example, he agreed to install a basketball pole, move a pile of dirt, and some landscape stones.  These were never completed.

I have the contract, the text messages showing that they were going to come complete things, when they were coming, etc., and the pictures to prove this claim of incomplete work by Creative Hardscapes of Texas. Every attempted made has resulted in little to no progress. Communication with "Alex" is such that he is going to make it right and complete the work, to no avail!  Please go read the other reviews about this contractor.  If you look at the negative HomeAdvisor reviews, there is a pattern with his work.  I have spent over $2,000 extra to get the job to a state where I can move to landscaping and spent over 40 hours of my own time working on the project to conserve costs.

If you chose to do business with Creative Hardscapes of Texas, please read ALL the reviews posted online.  Do not pay any money until the job is complete, or your job will not get done.  This is not an issue of a pissed off customer.  I am a contractor myself and it is my duty to inform the public of contractors that do these kinds of things to their customers so that they can make informed decisions about whether or not to work with someone.

Where are you Alex?  Your website is no longer available nor the Home Advisor page.

Where did you go?  You know I have experienced you as well.  Hard headed, hot headed, insulting to me and my wife. Changed the cost on us when we were ready to pull the trigger on the job.  You always act as if the ones that give you a bad review are the problem.  It is you Alex that is the problem.  Just because you have some good ratings doesn't mean what we have to say isn't valid.

I have read up on you.  You are like a Gypsy.  I saw one person loaned you money to get your business started, loaned you a truck and then you forged their name as you traded it in.  Pretty classy Alex, pretty classy.

So where are you?  Out of business?

I agree with the other commects others have made.

I have almost 9000.00 in damage due to his work in which he basically told me to eff off.

And now his website is gone.

I have a civil case against him pending.

Thank you to all the shares on Facebook! Buyers are aware.

This is exactly what I expected as a response. First, this contractor has committed libel for calling me a "Lyer" (it's actually spelled Liar) and now this is a legal matter. Nothing I have stated is a lie nor have I lied to this person.  Is this the kind of person you want do business with?  Secondly, I never made any changes to the project except for the one stated in the original filing.  He has no proof to support any of his statements, because the statements are false.  I have a contract, with pictures to prove all of my statements.  The pictures are a clear indication of the kind of work that this contractor will potentially leave you with if you do business with them.  Furthermore, another testament to the carelessness of this contractor is he can't even get my name right!  There is absolutely no care for the customer.  My guess is he bid the job wrong, got screwed by his subs, or over paid for something and was not going to make what he wanted on the job so he decided to just not come back to finish.

He is right about the walls.  The parts of the walls that were completed look nice.  It's all the finishing touches that make the project complete and looking good.  The chipped concrete, mortar on the concrete, cracks, etc. To say that the grading was not part of the contract is ludacris!  I never said the landscaping was part of the contract.  I cannot even get to the landscaping because of all the fixing I have to complete.  Not to mention the pits in my bedroom window from the concrete that splattered when it was pumped in.  All the splatter marks all over the stucco from concrete and mud.  The damage to the stucco from the bobcat.  Every day I am finding more stuff.  With regards, to the outdoor kitchen, I did not even get all the equipment that was in my bid.  Again, I can prove all of this with pictures and a copy of the bid.

Lastly, Alex is right.  He has reviews out there.  Please go read them.  Read all of them!  Especially the ones with unhappy customers.  There is a common theme with all of them and his response is exactly the same.  Please google this company’s reviews.  Read all of them!!  I am one of many unsatisfied people.  It is our responsibility as consumers to inform others of your experiences so that others can avoid the same mistakes.  There is zero care on the part of the contractor for customer satisfaction.  Begs to question the legitimacy of these reviews given my own experience.

At the end of the day, you be the judge as to whether you decide to do business with this contractor.  I do not and will not ever give this contractor or company a recommendation of any kind.

We completed the job and designed a beautiful outdoor kitchen with a fire pit.Matt the home owner changed a bunch of changes in the middle of the project which we did not even charge him for it.For him to say to look at Home advisor ratings go ahead we have 90 some reviews and referral.we completed our contract and again we went above and beyond what we agreed .He kept wanting more change orders but not paying for it.The leveling of the dirt and landscaping was not part of the contract which he wanted us to do it for free. The information and pictures are not true and he is a total lyer.We have beautiful pictures of the retaining walls and the outdoor kitchen that we build.Again look at our reviews and referrals.we believe in doing and deliver a awesome product and design.
