Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I received a phone call to my home on a Saturday afternoon about a Visa Gold that I had been approved for in the amount of $2000.00. I am a single mom and going through some financial hardships, so this sounded like an absolute blessing! After going over all the details and asking a number of questions... Michael of World Benefits assured me that I would have my credit card in 10 business days after paying a one time fee of $299.00.

This would not be an annual fee that I would have to pay each year, and the annual percentage rate of my card would only be 7% with an automatic $500 increase in credit after two months of timely payments. He must have assured me at least 3 times that if I couldn't make my payment by the date given him that I could call anytime before that to cancel and re-schedule for up to one year and still qualify for the card. Well, I was caught up in the moment and after he gave me all of the information, web-site, customer service and benefits of the card, I gave him my information.

On Monday when I went into work, I looked up the web-site provided to me to check out the company and found that it was not the web-site for the "so called bank" that contacted me. So, I immediately tried calling the "customer service number" provided to me, only to be on hold for over an hour and never put in contact with a live person.

For one week I attempted to call this company, but was never sucessful in getting an actual person on the line and even at times was given a busy signal for hours on end. This really worried me so I put a stop payment on the check that I had given them (my bank charged me $10.00 for the stop payment) only to find out that they did an electronic "withdraw" from my account in the amount of $299.00. I have to go to my bank tomorrow in hopes that they will reverse this charge!

I want to let anyone and everyone know about this company! I found this page by trying to do a search on World Benefits which resulted in nothing, and when I did a search on Credit Helpers (when you call the customer service number it says "Thank you for calling credit helpers" which I first thought huh, must be an affiliate of the bank they finance through), I found this page. Please let's do all that we can to put these very deceitful and dishonest people out of business, then can not get away with what they are doing!

I to have received the "phone call" from this company and want to thank this report and the people that have written this in. Hopefully I can stop this at my bank before it happens, since it will be an electronic withdraw. Thank you very much for the info. I should have known this was to good to be true,
