CrewFacilities.com – Andrea Tsakanikas and Amber Schofman LIARS

I was hired by this company on 7/25/2016 for a General Manager of Reservations position. I signed a contract for 2 weeks for a training session and the pay was to be $1,800. The position was working remotely since I am located in Florida and the address for this company is in Texas.

7/25/2016: The day started at 8am CST and I was in training for about 6 hours. During which Amber showed me how they do their things and some guides and protocols of the internal business.

Same day in the afternoon I was transferred to be trained from another coworker working from the Philippines. The training was done using Skype. The internet connection and English of this person was poor. I couldn’t learn anything from this person.

7/26/2016: The day started with a meeting at 7am CST and they were expecting me to start to work and follow their protocols immediately. I brought my frustrations and concerns to Andrea Tsakanikas and Amber Schofman in order to let them know that after a few hours of training I do not feel ready to do anything yet. Real training has not been provided to me yet. They dismissed my comments and for that day they just had me checking the inbox emails of the company. I was hired as a “General Manager” not for checking and forwarding emails.

7/26/2016: At 4pm I had already been in front of my computer for 8 hours without a break. I sent a message to Andrea and Amber via Skype asking how and when can I take my break. Not even this topic was covered in my “training”. After several attempts and almost 45 minutes later the answer from Andrea was to take it now. Later that afternoon, I sent another message to them asking the time I would be working the next day (7/27/2016). They never replied.

7/27/2016: At 7:35am CST I sent a message to Andrea and Amber asking what time my training started and I received no response from them. The only person connected at that time in Skype was the one located in Philippines; I asked if I would be working with her (as I did on Monday and I did not learn anything since she did not show me anything). And she said “You do not appear on the schedule for today”.

I tried to log in to my company email to see if I had instructions there and my user and password were no longer working. I tried to log in on another database that they use and it did not work either. At that point I could only assume that they do not want me to work for them anymore. I waited until 12 pm CST to email Andrea and Amber asking what is going on and I got nothing. Later that day I received a letter from a Lawyer indicating that I have been fired for failing to ask for my schedule. I was in training and the company should have provided me with the schedule and all the other information needed in order to cover a professional and decent training. Plus I actually did request my schedule from my supervisors the day before and morning of to which I received no response.

Crewfacilities.com seems to be a really unprofessional company. They are lacking in business model and their poor efficiency handling different aspects of the business is alarming. It appears they want us to work 16+ hour shifts with no breaks with no complaints. This form to operate is unacceptable and illegal here in the US; however, perhaps this is the reason why the team works remotely out of US.

I made myself available for 2 weeks and I signed a contract stating that. If they do not want my services anymore, they are still responsible to pay me the $1,800. Andrea emailed me on 7/27/2016 stating that they would be compensated only for 2 days. As of today 7/29/2016 I have not received anything from them and their hiring paperwork indicated payments are processed on Fridays. They are refusing to honor their contract and pay for my contracted services. This company is run by very unprofessional and shady individuals.

The owner promised me all these things during the interview process and now I never even received an explanation as to why they no longer wanted my services. Perhaps I was punching too many holes in their inefficient process and asking too many pertinent questions. The company never provided me with the tools to do my position or the proper training. And now they are refusing to pay me and threatening me with their just as unprofessional lawyer. I will not be intimidated. I have a right to be paid. It was their choice to not continue with my services. I took unpaid leave from a very high paid position to pursue this opportunity based on the promises of advancement from Andrea. So essentially I am out the $1800 and $5000 in lost wages from my current position. I have real damages. Potential employees and clients beware. This is not a company you want to be associated with.

I saw this report when I first applied for my current contract position at CrewFacilities.com, and I decided to continue with my interview process to see for myself what this company has to offer. I will be the one to stand up to say that I am having an excellent experience being a part of CrewFacilities.com!

I am currently in a Business Development/Project Management position, where my opinions are valued and utilized. Andrea Tsakanikas and Amber Schofman are both very caring and understanding of work/life balance, especially when it comes to family and health concerns! They make sure that I submit my time sheet in a timely manner and receive my ACH payment the same way!

I currently oversee projects being completed by other independent contractors, and we are all treated with respect on a human level. CrewFacilities.com has a company culture of doing the right thing by their clients and it is reflected in the way that they treat their employees and contractors.

I worked for these jokesters as well. So glad I didn't invest anymore time than I was "allowed" to. They paint a totally different picture during the interview process and the "Review/Raise" never came. Make shift office. Equipment such as internet, laptop and printer that never worked consistently. Employees in the Phillipines that get paid $5.00/hour for long shifts. Just so many things that didn't smell right. I should have known but needed the job. These two ladies come across as caring but when it comes to their "business" they are slave drivers, with no regard that you just drove across the state the night before but guess what, you must pull a 15 hour day the following day with an early wake up and a late night finish, after being away from your family for 3 days. Absolutely right about working 15+ hours a day without a break. So many holes in the training process, lots of overlapping (you're asked to do something that someone else is already micro managing) very little follow up, numerous tasks thrown at you at once, etc... In the end they lied in their termination letter about my responsibilties for the last day or work.

Stuck me in a man camp surrounded by a bunch of grungy workers 100s of miles away from home, in a room that the bed appeared to be slept in. They would suggest I leave for my road trip across Texas at 4am (dark) yet the day I chose to leave this man camp at 8pm (dark) they said I was putting myself in danger and were probably more concerned about the liabilty on their part more than my safety, obviously....other wise, why stick me (female) in a man camp, where I have no doubt the owner wouldn't have stepped foot in let alone sleep there? INSULT! Then to lie and say I had no regard for a crew I left unattended there, in which I was never informed of. I had already completed my job in that town. It was my last day/night there and in the morning I was to head home. LIES LIES LIES....

Do not fall for their broken promises. They got cheap labor out of me and I learned a lesson. They couldn't even tell me to my face or answer my phone calls to let me know I had been terminated. What professionalism? I wasted my time and gas driving to the office where the locks had been changed. I received a letter where I was given a deadline as to when to return company property...again on their terms. No regard for what your agenda is like, it's all on their terms. BEST OF LUCK TO YA LADIES. LESSON LEARNED. WHEN IT SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT IS. They did me a favor, thank God! Washed my hands and moved on, just had to put  my two cents in after reading the previous Ripoff Report. It actually made me laugh. They are a joke! :)
