Cross Country Bank ruined 14 yr old girls credit!
I was only 14 when I had my wallet stolen at a local amusement park. Someone used my social sec number for credit cards and they ended up getting a Cross Country visa in aug of 98, i was born in 83 and was 14-15 at the time. I just found this out a couple months back when i was of age and tried to get my first credit card. I was mad and I called Cross country and they told me that they can not do nothing to help besides tell me the balance and have me pay it off. I didnt do these charges I didnt know nothing about it! I refuse to pay for someone elses fradulent behavior, and since I told cross country my real name and address they are sending me bill collector notices wanting me to pay for something that i didnt do and something that happened when i was only a minor child! I do not know what to do! BOYCOTT cross country now!

If you were a minor at the time you are not responsibile for the debt. Get copies of your credit report and write to the company and tell them to remove the information. The federal law states that false info must be removed or you can sue them. Tell the collection agency in writing to not contact you again. Remember everything must be in writing. Good luck
