Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
This is in reference to the Cross Country Bank visa card. I sent a payment to these people a week ago, last wednesday, and every time that I phone these people, on my dime none the less, I am told that it could take x number of days for a payment to post. First it was 4-5 business days, and now suddenly it is 7-10 working days. I refuse to pay by phone or give them my bank account number.

I send my payments by money order so that I have proof that I have sent these people money. I would like to know if they are known to get your money, not post it and then charge you a late fee? I am seriously tired of the run around from this company and I too would love to cut up their "credit fraud card" and mail it back to them, however I am deeply into a online game and I need a credit card in order to play it. Alot of time and money is invested in this game, and I grow frustrated with each day that I get the run around from this company.

Also is it not convienant how there always seems to be a "Supervisor" answering the phones, once i can get a human, after my first complaint about my payment not being posted? So if there is a way that I can trace this money order I could sure use some ideas if anyone has any sort of suggestions I would really love to hear them.

Get a Legitimate Credit Card

I, too, fell victim to Cross Country's unethical business practices. It seems like a good deal. You can't get a credit card through your bank or via traditional methods and here's a bank offering to extend you credit where no others will. It *is* a rip off, however. CC is notorious for posting payments late in order to add a late fee to your account and with the small credit lines they offer that late fee will oft times put you over the limit thereby adding yet another fee onto your account. Take 200.00 (or whatever you can afford) and go to your bank or credit union. Ask them for a secured line of credit. Based upon your deposit they'll extend you so much in credit (it may be only as much as your deposit is, but it's better than CC's rip off 'deal'). You can play EQ or whatever online game you're into and build credit with a REPUTABLE financial organization at the same time. Normally after a year or less of paying on time they'll upgrade you to a traditional card and you'll get your deposit back with interest. Cut up that card, send them a CHECK and on the back write something to the effect of, 'By endorsing this check Cross Country Bank agrees that acct # _____ is paid in full.' Get the canceled check back from your bank and not only do you have proof that you paid but you also have a contract of sorts that will help you in small claims court when you drag them there over the junk fees they'll try to hit you with. Good luck!

This has happened to me several times with this bank. The way that you trace your money orders is going to the place of business you got them and tell them the situation have them check to see who has endorsed the check. Make sure that you get copies. Also file a complaint on them. They told me they never recevied my money orders either. But the bank proved they did and they call them liars. They call me a liar and make my life miserable calling all the time. They will never get another dime from me cause I know they are payed and they say they arent.
