Cross Country bank ripoff consumer rip-off fraud boca Raton Florida
I'm a cardholder for crosscountry bank. I had a credit limit of $350. Out of that limit I charged $150. I was late making payments due to a financial hardship but paid off all late payments to the tune of $620. After making such payment I was assessed a charge of $11.00 which they stated was my balance-the payment I made was from a letter they sent me. They assessed me late fees again and the balance is $103.89.
I was contacted on 8/23 by a representative and set up and pay by phone payment for 8/30. I gave the rep my ABA routing number and my checking account number as I have given other companies. On Sept 10th I received a letter(LEGAL DEPT) stated the check was returned due to incorrect information and I would face criminal charges. I contacted CCB and was told to have my financial institution to fax the ABA/acct number so they could verify the info-PECU(postal employees credit union) complied and they still insist that the information is incorrect BUT in the meantime I am being assessed additional late fees and a return check fee on a check that was never sent to PECU for payment.
Today-9/16 I was on a conference call with CCB/PECU verifying the account information and CCB is still trying to tell the PECU this information is incorrect. CCB is now telling me my balance is $173. My account number with PECU is 4 digits and CCB is telling them it has to be more than that.
I will be contacting other websites as well as joining in on the lawsuit. In addition I went to the CCB website to try a payment by internet and it came up as POSTAL EMPLOYEE CREDIT UNION account was used the last time would you like to use the same account GO FIGURE.
