Crystal Vision Aka Micro Star Software Aka Broderbund ripoff, lied, dishonest, scam Carlsbad California
First let me say that I called Broderbund to report that Crystal Visions is saying they are affiliated with Broderbund only to find out that they really ARE! I am shocked that a company I have used and liked for so long is subjecting their customers to scams like this, and endorsing them too!
I was contacted yesterday by "Gary" from Crystal Visions. He told me how great their program was and how I'm being offered a trial membership to their site (like an online Sams or Costco I was told) I only had to pay $19.99 for my trial membership and then I would get a $20 coupon to use on anything in the store. Gary told me they sold inkjet cartridges just like I bought at Walmart or Staples but for half the price. He also told me (and REALLY played up the "kids" part of it) that I could buy my children's software at a fraction of the price...software like reader rabbit, etc. Well, I fell for it.
I went to the site (I had to wait 24hrs to access site) today and was shocked. I was taken! The software is no cheaper than anywhere else for the "name brand" stuff, and the $20 coupon can only be used on HOT software which is in reality junk that I wouldn't pay $1.00 for! Coupon is not good for what he said it would be good for. Inkjets are not what you'd buy in the store. They are compatibles, refilled cartridges, not the OEM that I was promised. Their inkjets are actually 123inkjets.com. I tried to call the company to demand my credit card not be charged and surprise surprise; nobody to talk to. I could leave a message though. : (
I was a sucker to get taken on this deal. I hope this helps others from being taken advantage of also. And phoey on Broderbund for leading these scammers right to my home. I may have to rethink buying from Broderbund in the future as well.

Get out your credit card bill and call your credit card company. Explain your problem with this company to them and see if they can reverse this charge --charge it back to the company that misrepresented this transaction.
