In going over our checking account balance via, online Banking, I came across an electronic withdrawal for 298.00 which was NEVER authorized by either me or my spouse. The bank was already closed for the day, so I decided to do alittle of my own research.

Our bank has digital imaging so I was able to bring up a picture copy of the check, and there it was ,plain to see a check made out to CYBERTEL SECURITY for 298.00, with our STOLEN checking Account Number...

I then typed Cybertel Security into search, and came up with this page of numerous rip-off reports on Cybertel. Like everyone else We had never heard of this so-called Company. While reading through these reports, I was startled to learn; 2 other complaints were filed by people that are in my own home state, and very close to me; with the very same amount taken from their accounts!!

I am writing this because I want everyone to be aware, and keep close tabs on your accounts. I will be even more vigilante now!

Record the scammers with your answering machine!

#2Consumer Suggestion

Tue, December 13, 2005

Hey there, I had the same thing happen to me, but I scared them before they could withdrawl the money from my checking account! I actually got lucky because my answering machine was recording our whole conversation! As soon as the creep on the other end of the line realized that he was being recorded, he got angry and actually didn't know what to say. This company definitely alters their recording of your conversation with them to make it seem like you answered "yes" to questions that weren't even asked to you! So in turn, all you have to do is press the record button on your answering machine when you realize that it is a scam, and let them know that you will be recording them as well!! This seems to be the only way to get around this scam! I couldn't stress taking this advice enough! Good Luck!

I am happy to report, that a very nice lady at our Bank, is working with us on this matter, and all unauthorized withdrawls, have been returned. We are keeping a very close eye on this matter and contacting our bank daily, to ensure only withdrawls have been made by us.
