UPDATE: As I had stated earlier in this report, that if they (D & K collectibles) straighten this out, attempt to rectify the issue and look to make it right, I will in return, make a point to post that update on this site. As of this date, the replacement DVDs in question have been received along with an email from D & K collectibles expressing their apologies concerning this matter, recognizing the miscommunication and stating that I will soon be presented with a special offer as a token of good faith which I will also report/post in a following update. michael g Rockland County, New York U.S.A.

Dear D&K Collectibles Customers: We here at D&K Collectibles wish to address and respond to the posting by one of our customers to RIPOFF report.com We have first expressed our deepest apologies to Michael G. concerning this matter. We assumed that this matter was addressed and that he received the requested items as replacement items. Obviously, he did not. We are working to resolve this and find out what went wrong. In the meantime, we have presented him with a special offer as a way to begin to rectify this unfortunate situation. Also, we wish to address his letter posted to RIPOFFreport.com. We received several letters from our repeat customers concerning this. They have let us know that they will also file letters to address their positive experiences with our company. We ask that if you are a customer of D&K Collectibles and have been satisfied with the product you received, please email us your thoughts at [email protected] We have also asked Michael G. that once we have officially resolved this matter, that he post an update to RIPOFFreport.com concerning our attempt to rectify the situation that has occurred. The following are points made in the report and our response: 1) We appreciate that Michael G. acknowledged he did receive the items he ordered. That we did send them to him. That he agreed to the terms and placed an order. 2) We notified Michael G. that these DVDs are not official releases. These are the same sold at conventions and on other sites. Most sites selling cartoon sets like ours do not send them in DVD cases with full color artwork covers and episode lists. This is what has made us the best compared to other sites selling the same items for lower prices. With most of them, you're lucky if you get a disc in a sleeve. 3) If at anytime within 60 days of Michael G.'s order, there was an issue, he could have filed a complaint with PayPal. If at anytime within 60 days of his order, he could have requested a refund and sent the items back. We never received anything of that sort within 60 days. PayPal offers a Buyers Protection Plan unlike anything online right now. They make sure the buyer is covered and we feel that its necessary to have them as an online payment option in the event there is a problem. 4) We did receive some of his emails and answered them according but we have been notified by other customers that sometimes emails do not go through just once. Sometimes they go in a BULK mail or do not arrive at all. We also did not receive an email requesting another item. 5) We are NOT Christians or a Christian company. We do not "pride" ourselves on being such. We have religious collectibles that were originally on our site. In the past, we had customers suggest we place them on another site for various reasons. We followed that up last year and complied with their requests by establishing xianstore.com 6) We have thanked Michael G. for posting his feelings and offering his thoughts about our site. Again, obviously this has not been a great experience for him but we have attempted to address it and provide our best customer service. We are a dynamite site and compared to other sites with similar items, we are a step above the rest.
