Dallas Autos Direct Sold Car When I Had Deposit and Refused to Return Deposit Carrollton Texas
Refused to return deposit per contractual obligation on car Very disappointed in my dealings with this "business". I had a legal contract bound with a $500 deposit contingent upon them able to provide financing and no major mechanical problems with the car. At the time the car was being repaired by them for a bad water pump and serpentine belt so I was unable to have my mechanic inspect the vehicle. I kept calling back to the salesman "Jay" for the status on the repair and told that it had not been completed. I kept calling back to the finance manager "Bryant" and they were not able to obtain financing, so I was going outside their normal financing. They never reached out to me proactively except for one time to tell me that they were having trouble on the financing. Although I had the deposit on the deposit on the vehicle they sold it out from under me. When I went to speak with the GM "Lou" to get my deposit back as specified in the contract, he tried to sweet talk me. I told him I wanted my money or I would have my attorney get involved. He then became insistent that he would not give me my deposit back and that it would have to go through my attorney. He threatened to call the police if I did not leave his property. They did not provide the vehicle in a timely manner for a test drive prior to selling the vehicle out from under me although I had a deposit on the vehicle. This is breach of contract in the least. Representing the vehicle on the Internet as ready for sale and having no damage when in fact it was not ready for sale (water pump and serpentine belt) and considerable damage to the front left quarter panel is fraud in the least. I would not recommend doing business with these people.
