My son and several other students played baseball for the Dallas Panthers which is lead by Omar Washington. After taking our money the group never delivered on their promises. The head coach of our team was not paid. After just a few weeks and several thousand dollars we were not entered in tournaments that we were told we would be in.

After several weeks of being turned down at tournaments that we had supposedly paid for we had to form another team and pay another coach to coach them. The Panthers made off with the money that was paid by 12 to 15 kids at 2800 per kid.

Panthers baseball also promises kids and parents that they will be sent to national showcase baseball tournaments which never happened. Parents pay for private lessons and the coaches do not show up. Beware before you sign your kids up to play for this organization.

my name kevin rollins, my son is david rollins we have been with omar washington and his organization for the past 8yrs. thanks to omar david has been drafted four times and is currently in the bluejays organization. i don't know who wrote the compliant about omar but i can tell you omar is the only person I would trust with my son.. this has taken me all morning to write, because i am very annoyed at the fact that someone can throw a good man's name in the mud after all the things he has done for so many.. oh and then the complaints was made I know for a fact he was at fba coaching.

I am a parent who has dealt with The Panthers Orginization. They are top notch and have sent many players on to collegiate and professional careers. As you can see Mr.Washington has coached aflac all americans for over 7 years. I highly doubt that a top orginization such as Perfect Game USA would allow Mr. Washington to do such a thing if he was a fraud. Clearly if you read the email it says students. That throws red flags up right there. The head coach was never paid. Mr. Washington is one of the head coaches. Sounds like a personal manner. The Panthers have done nothing but succed in showcasing there players around the national seen. There also numerous Panthers playing on tv now and I highly doubt they would say anything negative about the Panthers. The Panthers helped launch there careers. I feel sorry for the person with the personal grudge against the Panthers. Not only are they hurting the Team but hurting the Reputation of a great ambassador of the game.

Dallas Baseball Fan, Sorry to hear you had a bad experience with the Dallas Panthers. I have been with this organization for over a year, and have not had any bad experiences inside or outside of the lines. This includes set lessons and practices, in multiple levels of this organization. Speaking as a parent, the only promise made was the opportunity to play competitive baseball, and get correct baseball instruction geared toward highschool and beyond. The parents of our team were informed of options on tournaments, league, and divisonal level. Tournaments were selected/picked to better fit the team as a whole. We were NOT promised National Tournaments, and reality says these must be qualified for not just picked and shown up at that time. These tournaments were included in our team fee, which is no where near 2800.00 quoted, that is more than double what we were given. This fee included uniform (2 complete) and league fees, as well as equipment fees known at the time (10 tournaments, subject to those tournaments actually "making"). My experience has been the exact opposite, quiet pleasant and well informed ahead of time. The fees were calculated after the parents' meetings and payment plans were established through the course of the year, dependant on # of tournaments and location. Again, exact opposite of money upfront. We have also taken private lessons from a few inside the Panthers organization, and have never had so much as a reschedule not to mention a no-show. Which begs the question, how do you pay for a lesson and then not show? Our lessons were paid AFTER the lesson was taken. To boot, most of these lessons ran well past the clock and the coach/coaches would not accept more money for their time. Again, apologies if what you say is even halfway true but my experiences with the Dallas Panthers and it's personnel is total opposite of what is reported here. We felt compelled to write a rebuttal, as our experience as parents have been different than what is written above. -Dallas Panthers 14UB (Parent)
