Someone from Stone Images came last night and completed the work they agreed to complete. As a result I no longer intend to pursue any action against Stone Images. My thanks go to the Fairfax County Department of Cable Communications and Consumer Protection. I won't use the name of the man from Fairfax County, but I feel obliged to make it clear that his patient help and persistence were invaluable in resolving this matter.

This matter has been investigated by the Fairfax County Consumer Protection Division, not by the Commonwealth's Attorney General. The initial report had indicated that a man from the Attorney General's office had called; the man was actually from Fairfax County. The reason for the confusion was that I had initially begun the complaint with the Attorney General of Virginia Office of Consumer Affairs. Apparently the way that works is that the State will forward this kind of complaint to the local authority. So the investigation was not done by the Attorney General.

Today 3/8/06 almost 4 months later the man from the Attorney General's office got Dan to talk. He sent a guy over to look at the steps. They agreed to make some changes to the work. The work remains to be done, but at least we finally talked. I'm hoping that we are close to ending this problem.
