Dan Casey seemed like the nicest and most trustworthy guy you could ever meet. I chose him to put up a simple 40X50 pole barn because he made me felt at ease you can tell he really knows his stuff. He started in May 2015 and at this point in late October 2015, all I have are columns and some wall girts up. I have paid approximately 70% of the cost of the building and have about 25% of the work done. I have called and called and he just ignores my phone calls and texts. I really want to trust him but he has not given me a reason to yet. It is hard to imagine that he is being fraudelant but at this point, I am not sure if it is fraud or mismanagement of his customers. Both are terrible and it has caused us a ton of stress and our horse business has suffered. I really hate to do it but I have had to hire an attorney.

If you are a victim of Dan Casey, please reach out to the below state investigator AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. The investigation is underway and they are now pulling together all of the plantiffs to build the case. If he is found guilty, not only could his bankruptcy be denied but he'll still be liable for all his debts ha's tried to leave behind.

Dan still has not refunded me and it seems to be that he does not intend to. This is pattern of behavior and I just cannot have another person endure what my family has endured nearly all of 2015. Dan Casey should not be in business so here is what I am going to focus on...

If you have been a victim of Dan Casey, please email me your information to get involved in a state sponsored Consumer Protection claim against him. I know there is a current investigation on him in Johnson County so we would have a cooperation from their attorney general. I have already have a small list of people who are willing to cooperate. I do not know if this will get your money back but it can result in criminal charges against him for a pattern of fraudulant behavior. I have contacted one of the local attorneys who has successfully sued Dan and is very familiar with his past.

I am happy to lead the effort. Dan has inflicted an incredible amount of harm to my family and the business we were trying to start. Just send me your contact info, specific claims against him with any pertinent information or anything else you feel comfortable sending.

Let's not let him do this to anyone else!!

Dan has now filed for bankruptcy and true to form, after reading his full filing, he has misrepresented his assets in order to qualify for Chapter 7. I will be working with the bankruptcy trustee to set the record straight to hopefully divert these efforts. If you could help me with any information, please email me. This includes any money you have paid him. He has estimated his income to be less than $50K and I am guessing that this is inaccurate. I alone paid him $19K and I know another gentleman paid in excess of $30K.

 

As a separate effort, I am consistently pressing for the state attorney general to convict him of fraudulant behavior. He is currently being investigated by the state as well as the Johnson County Consumer Protection agency. If none of us are going to get our money back, I am determined to make sure he is exposed and criminal charges are pressed. At this point all I need is information for me to give the state AG.

 Dan has agreed to settle and refund me. He does have me convinced that he's an honest guy but it is just my opinion that he is a great carpenter but maybe a bad customer servicer. Keep in mind, I do NOT have the refund yet but hoping for the best.

The saddest part is my wife sold her most prized horse to be able to build this barn and as far as I can tell, it looks like Dan is trying to run off with her money she worked so hard for. It is heartbreaking for us.
