Dan Gamel's Redding RV Attempted ripoff of Maintenence Contract Rebate Anderson California
Upon reselling a 1999 motorhome that I'd purchased from them just 15 months before,I went to the dealer and requested an application for rebate on the unused portion of my service contract.The Manager gave me the form to fill out, I did so, and he took it and said that he would mail it to the Insurance Company. ( Heritage #hrvc 507966)
I stopped him, and requested a copy of the canccellation form, for my own records. He provide it. He then told me that it would take between 90 -120 days to recieve it.
That took place on Aug 9, 2005. On Dec 13,2005, I called the Insurance Company to ask where my ($2,100) rebate was.I was informed that they HAD NOT recieved the application from the RV dealer.
They DID allow me to fax them my copy of the request, and then assured me that the refund would come within 4-6 WEEKS.
I am Convinced that their disregard for my request was in fact, a concious decision on the part of the manager.
If I had not requested (at the last minute) a copy for myself,I would have been OUT some $2,100.
I consider this action of theirs as totally negligent at the least, if not criminal at the most.I feel that it was Intentional on the part of the manager.
