BEWARE .. Ripoff Report update Daniel's Moving Service is owned by an illegal mexican named Serafin Ortiz. Hires illegal mexican like himself to do moves. I contacted the phone number 469-230-0518 and Serafin Ortiz answered. He gave me an hourly quote. They arrived 3 hours late. They were supposed to be there at 8am and showed up at 11am. None of the 3 could speak english well. Communication was horrible. The broke my TV taking it off the wall. Heavily scratched my harkwood floors. We were despirate and had no choice. When loaded the truck was following us. They got caught at a light and lost sight. They never showed to my families new home. After 20 minutes I call and no answer. 2 hours later I get a text that I will have to pay $2,000 cash extra plus the hourly rate before they would unload my items. They said they would not bring the items until I met Serafin at a convenience store parking lot and pay the $2,000 in cash. I contacted the police. In the contract it stated the company can charge extra for inconvenienes. Them losing sight was an inconvenience Serafin said. The police could do nothing since it was a civil issue. They said contact an attorney. I paid the $2,000 and what time they had spent loading and the estimated time to unload $2,200. I had to pay total $4,200 before they would unload. Once paid the truck showed up and they unloaded my items in my driveway. The movers would not take items into my home. They basically thew everything off the truck. Boxes were opened and some were severly crushed, mattress torn & dirty now, items missing X-Box & games, broken china and severly damaged furniture. Then when the movers left they told me to go (blank) myself. Wow! Total nightmare. I contacted an attorney and was advised that even if I got a judgement they would never pay. So sueing was a wasted effort. I hope this detures other familes from being taken advantage of by Daniel's Moving Service.
Maldonado, Celestino is the wife. Lives in apartments was evicted for 1201 E Park BLVD , APT 722, Plano, TX 75074 Lewis, Johnny G. in Precinct 3-1.
Serafin Ortiz was covicted on Theft $20K, DWI, Assault in Tarrant County. went to prison for 4 years. Deported back to Mexico. Came back now living in an apartment in Plano, TX.
