Danny Daneau Bait and Switch Scam Artist Editor Los Angeles, California
I put up an ad looking for editors for my film.We were very specific about what we wanted in the ad. Danny Daneau contacted me stating that he could do the job.After I met with him,everything was fine,but there was a red flag.When we agreed to have him do the job,he wanted to sign an agreement stating that it would be an "assembly edit". In hindsight,I should have walked away right then because that sounded fishy.He assured me that it would be professional and everything would look great.. After I gave him a 50% deposit of the fee,everything changed. I saw the footage a few weeks later,and it was the most thrown together piece of garbage editing I have ever seen in my life..He did not even try to do a good job.And all of a sudden,he had every excuse in the book as to why the editing was so bad..The editing had scenes missing,sloppy cuts,etc.It was almost like he purposely did a horrible job.It felt like some type of passive/aggressive scenario was playing out with this guy,because HE knew he did a horrible job. This guy has IMDB credits and the whole nine,but don't let that fool you. This guy is a rip off and a scammer.

The editor Danny has contacted me personally to give another side of the situation.And I now realize that there was a misunderstanding.We have now amicably resolved the situation.
