Darrell Marc Lode Development Real Estate Investments Con Man Rip Off Artist. Kept $2000 deposit money illegally from disabled person Lighthouse Pointe Florida
I gave my landlord 30 day notice when I paid August rent. I made appt for him to come and inspect the premises the day I moved out. He came over and inspected the premises but refused to give me anything in writing. I informed him that I was looking forward to the return of my $2000 deposit. There was a nonrefundable cleaning charge, which I knew.
He said nothing, actually he said he didn't consider the visit an inspection even though he did look at every nook and cranny in the house. Well, 15 days later I received notice for him of "Security Deposit Notice Claim." On this paper he charged me for Sept rent, he charged me the $350 cleaning charge, he charged me for cleaning the fans, for lawn service, and for some minor repairs.
The WORST RIPOFF WAS WHEN HE EVEN CHARGED ME FOR THE NEW "FOR RENT SIGNS" This is a very dishonorable
person. He also stated he was keeping everything else due to paragraph in lease, that when I read it pertained to something about abandoning the premises, which I did not do. I was a good tenant and was never late with the rent. Stupid me even paid for the last month rent in August.
I am very upset that he is taking advantage of me, especially since I am in desperate need of my $2000 since I'm disabled. I followed the lease, there was no reason for him to have done this except for greed. I am so angry that he has done this, he shouldn't get away with this. I can't afford an attorney or I'd sue him.
