David Low promoted himself as an investment expert and as “Hawaii’s Fittest CEO” to people and on his company website hawaiicapitalmanagement.com. For years, he solicited investors to purchase securities from Hawaii Capital Management, LLC and told investors that the money would be invested for them in an annuity with Sun Life Assurance Company of Canada or Fidelity Investments. Investors furnished more than $300,000 to Low. NONE of the investors’ money were invested as advertised. Instead, Low spent all the money to purchase securities for his own account, to buy cars, and pay his credit card bills. He was arrested on August 6, 2013. http://www.khon2.com/news/local-news/hawaiis-fittest-ceo-charged-with-stealing-257k-from-investors
David Low is out on bail and additional investors are still speaking out, saying they were victims of fraud.
