Trident Millworks and Glass - Trident Cabinetry - David Mathis - David Mathias - David Mathius ripoff breech of contract unfinished construction unpaid lawsuit settlement Irmo South Carolina
My mother was looking for someone to do a remodeling job. She looked up several companies in the phonebook and had them all come out to give her an estimate. David Mathius of Trident Millworks and Glass came out and gave an impressive presentation of what could be done and assured us that the job will be done before Christmas. He even had his laptop with pictures of some of the alleged work they have done. Trident Millworks and Glass were contracted for the kitchen remodeling job in October.
Trident was supposed to build new cabinetry, countertops and replace the flooring. They came out, did more measuring and talked over the decided cabinet placing with my mother and I. They were paid 1/3 of estimated cost at time of contract signing. Mr. Mathius came in a few days later and started ripping out the old cabinetry. The next day the countertops and wood stains were picked out.
After this the crew began not to show to complete the work. Several occasions they were called to see what was going on. The Project manager Daryl Shealy and David assured us that they hung up with another demanding customer and they have only been able to work on the fabrication of the new cabinets. Weeks go by and only minimal work is done. My Mom and I make a trip up to the shop located 7723 St. Andrews Road. David was no where to be found but Daryl showed us the cabinets they were staining. The last time the crew showed was December 30th to rip the flooring up.
Several attempts were made to get into contact with Trident. Several (daily and nightly) trips were made to the shop. Even breech of contract papers were attempted to be severed to Trident Millworks & Glass. This information was then turned into the magistrate court. They were a no-show for both hearings and we discovered that he is being sued by at least three different people.

This man use's third party companies to do his work for him and highballs clients for work he gets for free and doesn't tell his clients he's ripping people off worse if he did work on your home you have no warrenty only his private company insurance that he may or may not have he's stealing peoples money!!!! He needs to be stopped he's taking advantage of people probably elderly who don't know better he needs to be reported and taken down!!!
