Day & Night Towing They stole my vehicle and sold it without notice or authorization. Then I received my DMV renewal! They never report to any agency LAPD or DMV. Thieves! Northridge California
This company scopes out and steals cars. My car was parked at a location with permission and a locking gate. They illegally towed it and never reported it to the LAPD. The LAPD informed me that any towtruck must alert them within 2 hours of a vehicle pick up. They failed to do this because I checked with multiple stations while trying to locate my missing vehicle. Finally, I learned that they picked up my SUV, but when I contacted them, they refused to tell me anything. When I had the LAPD Sergent call, they finally admitted to having towed my vehicle.
So, I go down to the business to retrieve my vehicle, and the lady in the office is laughing at me saying it is old and so what if I have a paper from the DMV! I have the title and a current registration renewal. She refused to tell me anything more than they no longer have my SUV and left the office laughing. So, I again go down to the police station to report it stolen, and the officer calls the business again. He got them to agree to fax over paperwork on the vehicle, and received it after about a half hour wait. They propably fabricated it as fast as they could; thats my guess.
I was informed by the officer that they sold my vehicle in about 30 days from pick up without and notice to me nor authorization from me. Aparently, they can deem your vehicle worthless on their own and claim it worth less than storage fees and do as they please at that point. Watch out for them, my vehicle can not be replaced for $10,000 and was better than these new ones in my opinion, so it is now irreplaceable.
I maintained it well and it had no body damage or bondo repairs. The interior was imaculate and in new condition. The mechanics were perfect, it just needed a bolt changed to fix the 4x4 which my mechanic had done, yet misplaced the bolt...I had already paid for the repair, and was busy with the holidays so I did not attend to it for 3 minths.
They outright stole my SUV and I have seen many reviews on Yelp where they scoped out and stole other people's vehicles as well. One person only walked away from their car for 8 minutes when they took it. It seemed like the police were aware of their shady business practices, and i was refered to the police comissioner to file further complaints about this fraud of a business. I have filed a complaint on BBB which I see they never respond to, and also given them a negative review. I recomend if you are a victim of theirs as well that you do everything you can to put them out of business.
Their license #C2640023... a family run business. I am not sure if it changed over time, because I believe they have been around longer than 1/22/2004 when Glenda Henriquez filed for the license. These rude crooks who twist the laws for their theiving purposes need to be stopped!
