Days Inn ripoff of credit card information used for reservations Ridgeland Mississippi
Following Hurricane Katrina and the fundraising that my children did here in our homestate of Pennsylvania... We made reservations at this days inn to stay while we delivered our fundraising supplies to Baton Rouge and Denham Springs, Louisiana.
While on our journey down to Louisiana I called to verify (again, my 3rd time .. the website said to keep checking status due to the hurricane and the massive homeless persons due to it ) and found out our reservation had been cancelled. This was fine. We made other arrangements at another Days Inn. ( Vicksburg, Mississippi.
Was not worth the money either. But that was just poor housekeeping and maintenance ) Since the day of the cancellation until the day we returned home ( 6 days later ) I was still trying to get this specific site to reverse the reservation on my charge card to no avail. The following month, I'm still trying to get this reversal and now my credit card statement comes in the mail.
Upon inspecting it, I notice a charge to ----. I called the credit card company immediately and reported this fraudulent charge. I then called ----. Somehow, I knew to ask if this account originated in Ridgeland, Miss. and I was told yes. But I would not be given any other info. I then called the Ridgeland, Miss police and filed a complaint over this fraudulent charge.
It's now been 5 months and finally it's settled. Come to find out, a reservation clerk stole my credit card # and zip code off our reservation documents at the Ridgland Miss. days inn and set up an account for his own usage. I was not given any details as to his fine etc. but it doesn' matter to me. I only wanted him to know that he messed with the wrong person and he paid for it.
