Okay first off I am sorry for the the condition of your mom, and know how Alzheimer's and dementia can affect a family.
But it seems as if you are leaving several things out and may be mis-directing your "anger" . First of all if you have police reports what did they do? Did they prosecute the sibling(s)? Were the siblings found guilty? Because if they were I would imagine that the courts would either have already made "arrangements" for the siblings to have different living arrangements courtesy of the Florida Prison system. At the very least I would imagine that part of the sentence would be for them to not have contact with your mom. So not sure why DCF would even need to get involved? Because any violation would be an arrestable offense. If the sibling(s) were never charged then not sure why DCF would all of the sudden become the judge and jury.
You also mention a check, but fail to give any details on that. Are you saying that someone forged her signature? Are you saying that she did write it but just "forgot" about it?
Alzheimer's does not set in overnight, it happens over time. And from what I get from your report it sounds like it may have been progressing over the last few years. So how come none of her doctors noticed even the beginnings of this? Did she ever seek medical attention for her injuries. If she did how could they miss the signs to at least mention that she may need to be further evaluated?
You then mention about "home hospice". Why did she need this and who ordered it? Was it an RN who would come or was it just an Health Care Aide? Where were you getting the information that she was being "left alone"? While not trying to "Monday Morning Quarterback" this when you found out she was being left alone what did you do to investigate this?
Then of course there is something else that you probably don't want to hear. But if you knew of all of these issues with your siblings, how come you didn't have your mom move in with you?
