I had a bad experience with a car dealership and posted my experience on Dealerrater.com. I received the same machine generated message immediately. The interesting thing is I cannot find my post even after a week by searching the business using another computer. However if I click the link in my email I can see it. Very weir!!! The dealer somehow immediately know my all contact information thought. One interesting thing is that the number of positive reviews are far more than that of negative ones. I thought people usually won't post if they are happy. My virdict is that this website is funky, stay away from them!

I just filed a complaint on DealerReview and I had the same concern and did not like the email response that I received. However, Larry's comments make sense and are acceptable, if my review is live within a few weeks, I have no problem with the dealeship having the opportunity to correct the issue or take steps to ensure my satisfaction.

DealerRater.com did finally publish my review and acknowledged an error in their email system.
I believe that in order for websites that rely on user comments and ratings to be successful (and have credibility) those websites cannot interfere with ratings or comments in anyway, unless of course profanity is used or a comment is spam or more recently comments and ratings that were acquired by some form of payment or kick back.
In my case none of these were applicable and I feel my review should have been posted immediately without question.

We publicly share statistics that you have requested. We also do require specific criteria to become (and maintain) the Certified Dealer status.
All of this information (and much more) may be found on our website at www.dealerrater.com.
Thanks for the questions and the forum to share some of the balanced services we provide to consumers and automotive dealers.
Best regards!

How many of your dealerships that pay you monthly you're certified dealers are listed on this website ? I'm sure you're not willing to reveal the numbers ! When I hear somebody talks about certified. I looked them up on this website. Why don't you take the time. Before you call the dealership a certified dealer to look them up on this website before you take their money.
Consumers need to look up any dealer on this site before they do business with them It's a shame that your website and the BBB do not let the public review what other customers are saying about your certified dealers. When somebody does not show something maybe they're hiding something
I say when in doubt. Give the ripoff report I shout
The people who have buyers remorse are the ones that found out they did get screwed

Just as you might expect from the dealership you reviewed, we also monitor similar feedback about our products. We take this feedback seriously and thank you for taking time to share your thoughts about our services via ripoffreport.com.
Admittedly you did find an error in one of our auto-responder emails thanks to your feedback, we are taking immediate action to correct the sequence in our response emails.
As with any market, occasionally a few consumers respond in the height of emotion where facts or intentions are less than accurate. We provide a service to automotive dealerships where we will confirm the source of reviews and allow the dealer to reconcile any outstanding issues which is what most consumers desire to be the outcome. It will allow the dealership an opportunity to "make it right". I assure you that whether a certified client or not, all validated reviews are published as the consumer requests.
As such, I want to assure you that your review is live, please review the link below posted on June 14 it will not be removed unless you, as the original author, elects to remove or modify the entry.http://www.dealerrater.com/dealer/North-Central-Ford-review-10128/
Your time is valuable, we recognize that you spent some time providing feedback that will only improve our service to consumers and automobile dealers. As a best practice we offer dealerships, it is not uncommon to ask a consumer to update the review if action has been taken to explain or reconcile the issue. Would you mind validating and sharing with your readers that you have helped us identify a sequence error in our response emails and that your review did post? Thank you.

Do you or does the dealer pay this web site money? Whose image are they going to protect ? You pay the web site NOTHING what does the dealer pay them ?
FOLLOW THE MONEY TRAIL EVERYTIMG. Ask this question. Why does the BBB not let the public read the car buyers complaints on the BBB,s web site ? Again FOLLOW THE MONEY TRAL EVERYTIME my friend.
