As of today, I still have not had any resolution to my situation with Dell Financial Services or Dell and now there is a negative report and a collection on my Credit Report.
How can a Dell agree to a Class Action Law Suit Settlement for the same reasons and still put a negative report and collections on my credit file for the same thing that they agreed to settle for???
Has anyone else had this problem and possibly filed a suit in small claims court with any success? I would like to hear from anyone who has this problem.

Fort Lauderdale,#3Consumer Suggestion

The government has files suit against Dell and Dell Financial Services. "Dell lured consumers to purchase its products with advertisements that offered attractive no interest and/or no payment financing promotions. In practice, however, the vast majority of consumers, even those with very good credit scores, were denied these deals. In a classic bait and switch scheme, DFS instead offered consumers financing at high interest rates, which often exceeded 20%. Dell and DFS frequently failed to clearly inform these consumers that they had not qualified for the promotional terms, leaving many to unwittingly finance their purchase at high interest rates." Phone sellers were found to use deceptive, pressure filled selling tactics to sell to customers. First have a detailed account of what happened with date and people names who you've contacted. Then contact all the following: 1. Michael Dell: [email protected]. Let him know that you are aware that Dell has already been sued by states for deceptive practices and that you want this to be corrected ASAP. Your request will automatically receive high priority. 2. File a complaint with the better business Beaurau. 3. Contact your State Attorney General. This person groups all the complaints against Dell and then files suit against the company on behalf of customers. When you send a letter to this person, also provide some of the other law suits other states have files against Dell: http://www.northcountrygazette.org/2008/05/30/deceptive_dell/ All of these cases can be found on the internet and on the Better Business Bureau site. This will help the attorney general see the merit of your situation. Taking these steps will ensure that your request receives attention.
