We purchased a fully loaded computer with upgrades, 19 flat screen, printer and data transfer service from old computer to new one on 1/5/05. Computer & monitor arrived 1/10/05; printer showed to be in production' (like these aren't lined up on a shelf waiting to ship.nothing custom' here).

I started calling dell's customer service number (have several now, all of which don't seem to do any good), after literally 2 hours of being transferred to another department' & holding' I asked the gal I was talking to where she was located. Myra, replied India. She took my numbers, including cell number and told me she didn't know why I haven't been contacted by Dell yet but would research with her supervisor and CALL ME BACK in about an hour. Which she did twice, the first time was to tell me that her supervisor wasn't back at the office yet, but would call me within the hour once again she did at 7:30 p.m. CST (was about 5a.m. where she was calling from). At least she had an answer for me that nobody else seemed to have that day. I was told once all' items are shipped from Dell, their customer care dept is notified, within 2-3 business days tech support is supposed to assign a dispatch # and contact us and/or the data transfer company. Once the data transfer company gets the dispatch number they will contact us to schedule a date/time for transfer. Printer FINALLY shipped 1/18/05.

My boss tried calling several times 1/26/05 with no luck. Today is 1/27/05 and I still haven't been contacted by Dell nor a data transfer company yet. After wasting another 3 hours this morning on transfer/hold with Dell they still have not assigned a dispatch number. I've waited on hold about 15-20 minutes then get a live rep' only to go through the spill & they tell me I'm sorry, you're in the wrong dept, let me transfer you' same story when I get transferred the next few times! Customer Service tells me that I need to talk to Technical Support & vice versa! This morning I've been talking to someone in Phillipines, Manilla, who knows where I'll end up next! Isn't there anyone in the U.S. for Dell services???????? Now I get to hurry up & wait' for the last person to CALL ME BACK!

This has been very frustrating & I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER DELL---NOT SURE AT HIS POINT IF WE'LL KEEP THIS ONE---WE CAN'T EVEN GET TECH SUPPORT TO SCHEDULE A DATA TRANSFER!
