Dell, Failed to give complete refund, poor customer service, farming out phone calls to foreign countries Lavergne Tennessee
I have been a Dell customer for many years with TWO Dell laptops and TWO Dell printers. It is only logical that when I was ready to buy a new Desktop that I turned to Dell. BIG MISTAKE. I bought a top of the line Quad Core Intel computer. It came after about a week and that is where my problems started. Once I hooked up my Dell printer the new Vista system did not recognize my printer. I called Dell only to be outsourced to INDIA.
After multiple transfers to people I could barely understand a gentleman took over my computer and downloaded some software to supposedly make my printer work. Well, what it did was lock up everything and make the computer completely unuseable. After a complete weekend of dealing with Dell over the phone in India and the Philippines I gave up. I requested to return the computer.
NEXT BIG ISSUE. I had FOUR packages that came. First Dell tried to give me TWO return labels telling me to place the other two items inside the other boxes. I asked them how can I fit a speaker system inside another box that is already full? I had to go to a supervisor the get another label and then still lacked a label for a Belkin cable. I was told to put that inside the box with the computer. BIG MISTAKE. I shipped everything back to Dell and worried the entire time wondering if I would get my full credit. Guess what? I got my credit but the Belkin Cable apparently was never found as I now still owe Dell money. I have sent over 8 emails, and made numerous phone calls and still no resolution.
I have since bought a WONDERFUL GATEWAY COMPUTER. They have all their support in the good ole' USA. WHAT A DIFFERENCE!! I LOVE THIS COMPUTER. DON'T BUY A DELL!!!! Poor customer service is just the tip of the iceberg.
