Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I purchased a Dell 5150 Inspiron in November of 2003. I recieved it in early December. It was defective and I was told to return it. I asked to return the one I had and they said to wait until I recieved a replacement. I did not know of the problems there were to be had with Dell so I waited.

I had to go out of state so I asked for it to be sent in January. The second computer was also defective. There was a problem with "corruption" which affected the working of the computer and it would crash and give serious error messages. I called and said that first I wanted to return it. They refused saying it was past the 30 day limit. There is no way when a computer has problem that you can return it because it takes so long to get through to them and find out if the problem is fixable.

They have sent me a refurbished machine and I want my money back and they will not give it to me nor will they give me a new computer. It has now been three months of "experiencing" Dell Customer service. If you are a busy professional with limited time and or patience to deal with a company who buffers itself from customers do not buy with Dell. When there was the corruption program the tech could not explain why it had occured only that he would clear it but it could reoccur. I spent over $2,000 dollars for this product to increase my productivity.

I feel sick to find out this company had no integrity in standing behind their product or their clients. This was a huge amount of money to spend. I have now heard through my company of real estate agents that others have had even worse situation and they too just get a run around. I hope this will serve as a warning to others to re think purchasing Dell.

I have been shuttled around the Universe trying to get through. You will be sent to India, Panama, and Manila, and unable to get through to the same person twice so there is no follow through.

I was denied talking to a supervisor until I pushed the issue. I told them that getting a refurbished machine after paying for a new one and getting two defective ones was unacceptable. Their response was this is our "policy". However, looking at the bottom of their invoice sheet which advertises "Total Customer Satisfaction" it says they can replace with new or refurbished. When you have spent this amount of money you want what you paid for especially when you have given them the opportunity to fix the problem and have not done so.

If anyone has a way for me to get my money back please contact me by using the rebuttal box below.
