Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I paid for an airline ticket to Costs Rica thru a store for a diving trip a year in advance. Due to illness at time of travel( I was in a car accident)I did not make the flight which I notified them well inadvance. I was given a choice of losing the ticket or using it to the same location within one year. I was refused a refund and refused to exchange destinations. Upon one month to flight time I had a heart attack and again notified Delta I was unable to fly.(I like them cannot predict the future) I was again refused a refund, or a reschedualed flight this time and told the ticket was now invalid. I went to the local triple A for advice and was told that the issurer was Delta and still a valid ticket. I again contacted Delta and was told this time that the ticket was valid but I would have to go to the original store

where the ticket was purchased. However the store is now out of business. I notified Delta and was told and I quote:

"We have received your request for a refund on the ticket listed above. Since the ticket was issued on a bulk or contract fare, we are unable to process a refund. Please return your ticket to the issuing travel agency for processing. Thank you for choosing Delta. We always welcome the opportunity to be of service.

Sincerely,

Debra Witte

1.The ticket clearly states issued by Delta

2.Delta refuses to give me any infomation on Bulk or contract fare purchase request stating the new law on National Security and confidentialaity, even though the ticket states issued by Delta not Bulk or Contract fare.

3.Told Delta original point of sale out of Business, they did not care, bottom line they were paid for seat which was not used and refused to give refund or exchange ticket.

4.ripped me off for my money, I still pocesses useless ticket.

5.Clearly showed contempt for customer and really poor customer relations. If I had money I would speak to a lawyer but because of health reasons I can't afford one. But could sure use the refund to pay medical bills

6.Don't let this be you Make sure you get what you purchase not what they want to give you

The fact is that you did NOT pay Delta, you paid an intermediary. Furthermore, you did NOT pay for a refundable ticket, you paid for a bulk or contract, non-refundable ticket - and that's precisely what you got. I'm sorry that you were not able to make the trip, apparently for valid reasons. But exactly how are the accident or the heart attack Delta's responsibility ??? So, even if you have a valid claim (which I doubt due to the rules of the ticket) your claim is against the people who took your money. Sorry, you can't transfer the problem to Delta.
